The National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation defines a “survivor” as anyone living with a history of cancer – from the moment of diagnosis through the remainder of life. The point of the observance of National Cancer Survivors Day is to realize that the diagnosis of cancer is not the end, and that life after diagnosis can be meaningful, productive and inspiring.
